Sheeldy — Help and Support
iOS application for iPhone. Last updated: 20 September 2026.
Contact us: contact@sheeldy.com. Please mention "Sheeldy", your iPhone model and its iOS version (Settings › General › About). The app's Help, account and information › Diagnostic screen summarises what is enabled: a screenshot of it helps a lot.
Enabling protection (once)
iOS requires you to enable blocking yourself: no app can do it for you. The app guides you with the "Enable in 3 steps" button.
- Open Settings › Apps › Phone › Call Blocking & Identification.
- Turn on Sheeldy.
- Go back to the app: the calls tile switches to "You are protected". The first load of the numbers can take a few minutes; the app shows "Protection loading" meanwhile.
Optional: filter telemarketing SMS
Settings › Apps › Messages › Unknown & Spam (or "Filter Unknown Senders", depending on the iOS version): choose Sheeldy. Commercial SMS from unknown senders are filed in a separate tab, without notification. Your contacts are never filtered.
Optional: report from Phone and Messages
Settings › Apps › Phone › SMS/Call Reporting: choose Sheeldy. You can then report a number from Phone › Recents (swipe left, then Report) and from Messages (press and hold the message, then Report). This feature needs a free account.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly does the app block?
In France, the 22 number ranges that the regulator (Arcep) reserves for automated calls (telemarketing), i.e. 13,000,000 numbers, plus the numbers you add yourself. In Spain, the 400 numbering reserved for commercial calls. In Italy, where no range is reserved yet, only the numbers checked by Sheeldy and your own. Your contacts are never affected.
Block or warn?
In Settings (top right of the home screen) › "On call": Block refuses the call without ringing; Warn lets it ring with "Possible telemarketing" shown under the number, and you decide.
An expected call did not come through
Switch to Warn mode: you will see the label on the call instead of a silent refusal. The blocked ranges are reserved by the regulator for telemarketing machines; if you believe a legitimate number is among them, write to us with the number.
How do I add or remove my own numbers?
Settings › My blocked numbers. Up to 1,000 numbers, which stay on your iPhone.
The calls tile says "Protection incomplete" or "One step left"
Blocking is not enabled yet in the iOS Settings: go through the three steps above again. If the switch is already on, turn it off and on again; iOS then reloads the list.
The first load is slow
iOS loads the 13 million numbers in batches; on some iPhones this takes several minutes. Keep the app open in the foreground until "You are protected". The list then updates on its own, without going through the App Store.
What is the free account for?
Blocking and filtering need no account. The free account (your email address and a six-digit code received by email, nothing else) is only used to report a number and to have a suspicious email, letter or conversation checked. There is nothing to buy in the app.
I did not receive the six-digit code
Check your junk folder and the spelling of the address. A code is valid for ten minutes; at most three codes per hour. If nothing arrives, write to us.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Help, account and information › Delete my account. Deletion erases the email address and the reports. Customers of the Sheeldy service (web dashboard) exercise their right to erasure from their dashboard or by writing to contact@sheeldy.com.
What happens to the screenshots and photos I have checked?
They are sent only when you tap "Analyze", after a consent screen, are analysed by an artificial-intelligence provider and are kept neither by Sheeldy nor by the app. Details are in the privacy policy.
What leaves my iPhone?
Without an account: nothing, apart from downloading the number list, with no identifier at all. The app reads neither your calls, nor the content of your SMS, nor your contacts. See the privacy policy.
Changing country or language
Settings › Language and Settings › Country. The country determines the blocking list and the way numbers are written; the app language is independent from the iPhone's.
